About The Joy of Giving

  • The Joy of Giving is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax-deductible.
  • The Joy of Giving, together with the Island Country Club Charitable Foundation, brings Joy to the children.
  • The Joy of Giving works with service organizations and schools throughout Collier County to pre-qualify children for eligibility. When one child is selected, siblings will be included.
  • 100% of every dollar donated goes to buying a gift for a child.
  • All administration costs and hours are donated by Joy of Giving volunteers.
  • Parents arrive at Walmart on the Joy of Giving day to shop for their child’s gifts. JOG volunteers approve all items and assist with each checkout at the register.

The Real Joy Of Giving A Poem

I saw God today
In the eyes of a child and the heart of a man as volunteers streamed in with outstretched hands.
I saw God today
When love walked through the doors their energy so big — Santa & Mrs. Claus!
I saw God today
As we shopped with an angel — little time left on earth, seven years only has it been since her birth.
I saw God today
When 20 feet away stood the store manager his position most days
Today it was different tears in his eyes, and our 3-second connection my tears replied.
Here we witnessed God’s presence of love.
The gift is in giving from the heart, soul, and above.
